The Houston Association of Black Journalists
recently had the honor to co-host a book signing
and reception for award-winning 60 Minutes/CBS
News Correspondent Byron Pitts.
Pitts is the author of the new highly acclaimed
book, "Step Out on Nothing." The book tells the
story of his struggle with overcoming childhood
illiteracy to become one of the country's most
respected news journalists.
Dozens of community leaders, fellow journalists,
educators and fans attended the book signing and
reception.
