HABJ hosted journalist and book author Reshonda Tate Billingsley at our September membership meeting and mixer. Reshonda is also a former recipient of an HABJ Spirit Award.

 
In May, HABJ hosted Houston Police Chief Charles McClelland at the chapter's membership meeting and mixer. Houston's top cop talked about the city's declining crime rate. He also stated his commitment to have a transparent police department and an open door policy with local news media.
