HABJ Holds 24th Anniversary Dinner

Houston—April 6, 2010
 On Friday, March 26, 2010, The Houston Association of Black Journalists hosted the 24th Anniversary Awards Dinner and Scholarship Fundraiser.

More than 500 community leaders joined HABJ members to recognize outstanding scholarship recipients and honor several phenomenal professionals in the media industry.

2010 Honorees are Roland Martin of CNN/TV One, Richelle Carey of Headlines News, Tony Wyllie VP Communications for The Houston Texans and KCOH Radio Sports Journalist Ralph Cooper.

Houston Association of Black Journalists is a nonprofit organization of media professionals from the Houston area with members in every facet of print, broadcast and online media, education and corporate communications. HABJ provides quality programs and services in Houston and the surrounding area. The organization was founded in 1986 and is one of the largest organizations of journalists of color in Houston.
